SA Christian School’s Cyberpatriot Team Top In The Nation

San Antonio Christian School’s CyberPatriot teams competed in the National Semi-Finals this year. The high school team placed in the top 20% and the middle school team placed in the top 10% of the nation!

The National CyberPatriot Education Program challenges teams from across the US, Canada, and DODD schools abroad to find and resolve cyber security vulnerabilities in simulated environments. The national competitions consist of several rounds of increasingly challenging security problems to resolve. The program was established by the United States Air Force to excite, educate, and motivate students toward careers in cyber security and other STEM disciplines critical to our nation’s future.

The SACS middle school semi-finalist team ranked in the top 10 of over 400 middle schools in the nation. This success was due to a year-long dedication to learning challenging technical concepts. This year they met every morning at 6:30 just to stay competitive. They were honored with the opportunity to attend the city-wide CyberPatriot luncheon held at the Freeman Coliseum. It was hosted by our Mayor, Ivy Taylor. Colleges and Universities, as well as the NSA and other cyber security organizations, came to talk with our students in a college fair setting.

San Antonio Christian School is a private, pre-k through 12th-grade school with world-class academics and a Christian emphasis on developing the whole child.
